Kendall Harger, Pastor
I am pastor of Spring Green Community Church. My wife Juli and I moved here in January 2011 from Michigan to serve SGCC and the River Valley area. We love it here! I count it a privilege to come alongside people and help them navigate life, especially when it offers them unforeseen challenges, and to encourage others as they grow in their relationship with God. I love Jesus, playing classical guitar, biking, kayaking, and hiking.
Director of Spiritual Growth
I moved to Spring Green from Michigan in January of 2011. I love being here; Spring Green is such an active and unique small town…. from theatre to architecture to the natural beauty of the hills that surround! Together with my husband Kendall we have three boys, two daughters-in-law, and two grand dogs. I work at a cute little stone cottage-style 1920s gas station turned into an artisan opal jewelry store called The Opal Man. It brings me so much joy to see people grow closer to Christ; I have a passion for creating healthy spaces where people can explore, grow, and build relationship with Christ (and others) – the creator of all that’s beautiful.
I live in the hills of North Freedom with my wife Alex and our two children (Sam & Kayla). I am the part time Worship Leader at Spring Green Community Church. I love my kids, being outside working on the land around home, and music. You will find me playing my guitar (and singing) or making sure my kids are where they need to be doing what they do (yes, we’re in those years where you feel like a taxi service). My joy in serving at SGCC is to see and hear people worship God through song.
I live in the hills of Richland County; God blessed me with a home there a number of years ago as a single parent. My two children are grown now, and I have two grandsons and a granddaughter. I love serving at Spring Green Community Church. and I have worked here since 2006. It has been an adventure, and God is so very faithful. I love Jesus, reading, traveling, and meeting new people. Life is a journey; enjoy the moments.
I live in Spring Green with my sweet husband Todd and our four beautiful and talented children. God blessed me with this job one year ago after being an at-home mom for 13 years. Working here allows me to use some of my “non-mommy” skills while still providing the flexibility to be involved with my kids’ activities at school and keep things afloat at home. It is truly a gift from God.
I live in Spring Green with my wife of 20 years, Terri. I am employed full-time as a Facility Engineer for the UW Hospital in Madison. I also work part-time as a custodian for Spring Green Community Church. I work a lot because I enjoy hard work and keeping myself busy. I enjoy the outdoors, fishing, camping, and playing golf. I love my family and spending time with them. SGCC is like family, too! My walk with Christ has taught me that I am loved and God is faithful.
Nora Moe, Co-custodian
I live in the Spring Green area with my dog Sasha and have been attending SGCC for almost 18 years. Besides serving as custodian, I help with child care on Wednesday's Friends Night, with the nursery, in the kitchen with the Helping Hands ministry, and as a greeter on the First Impressions Team. I have four children, 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Favorite Bible verse: It's hard for me to choose; when I open my Bible, I like all the verses I see. One of the best is John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but willl have eternal life."
Melissa Plumley, Co-custodian
I am originally from Rice Lake, WI. I lived in a small town by Prairie du Chien for several years, but have lived most of my life in Madison. I graduated from college there with a nursing degree and worked in healthcare for more than 28 years. I have three beautiful children: Adrianna (future husband Sam), Savaunnah, and one boy, Kaden. I also have two wonderful grandchildren, both boys: Amare and Sammy. I bought my home in Arena in 2017, and love this area. The school system and sports programs there have been wonderful for my son.
